Job DescriptionThe Field Engineering Technologist (Mechanical/Civil Discipline) supports the safe and effective execution of our US Major Projects by coordinating field activities, verifying contractor performance, and maintaining accurate project documentation. The role serves as a key interface between the field, engineering, contractors, and project leadership, ensuring work is performed in accordance with approved plans, safety requirements, and project controls.

This position does not own project budgets, contracts, or final approval authority, but plays a critical role in verification, coordination, and escalation to enable timely and compliant delivery.•Potential travel required with Per Diem Key ResponsibilitiesField & Construction CoordinationSupport day to day field execution activities under direction of the Construction ManagerCoordinate contractor activities through Field Supervisors to align with approved schedules and work plansParticipate in site walkdowns, lead construction and progress meetings.

Verify actual field construction progress against drawings, specifications, and work packagesIdentify execution risks and escalate issues proactivelySafety & ComplianceActively support site safety programs and contractor safety complianceParticipate in hazard identification, job safety meetings, and field observationsVerify that contractors are working in accordance with approved safety plans, permits, and proceduresModel and reinforce safe work behaviors in the fieldImmediately escalate unsafe conditions or non complianceSOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

This role supports safety execution but does not replace contractor or Prime safety accountability Project Controls & DocumentationMaintain accurate field documentation including:

Daily reportsQuantities and installed progressInspection and verification recordsSupport cost and schedule tracking by validating work completedAssist with change identification and documentationSupport forecasting, reporting, and close out documentation as requiredContractor Interface & Verification Interface directly with contractors to:

Clarify scope, drawings, and specificationsVerify progress and completion of workIdentify variances or non conformancesTrack contractor performance against approved plansCommunicate observations, risks, and recommendations to project leadershipThe role verifies and reports — it does not direct contractor means, methods, or commercial decisions. Stakeholder CommunicationServe as a liaison between field operations, engineering, project controls, and managementReview and contribute feedback to progress reports and coordination meetingsEscalate issues clearly, factually, and in a timely mannerQualificationsDiploma or degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field6-8 years of experience supporting major construction projectsStrong understanding of construction field practices and safety requirementsExperience working with contractors and multi disciplinary teamsStrong documentation, communication, and organizational skillsComfortable working in active field environmentsAdditional Information•On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs•Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
