Job Description

Michigan Automotive Compressor, Inc. (MACI), is a world-class manufacturer of air conditioning compressors and magnetic clutches. MACI is a joint-venture between Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) and DENSO. Not only are we the largest manufacturer in Jackson County, we also hold the largest market share in North America. We attribute our success to our associates' commitment to quality. We are filling On-Site Summer 2027 Internships in the following department/Engineering areas:
QualityDie CastProduction Duties & Responsibilities:
The Summer Engineering Intern will gain valuable, hands-on, experience in the analyzation of production and manufacturing processes. You will learn to identify opportunities and implement changes that improve quality, safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness; Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving design, material, or process. Internship candidates must be team-oriented, self-starting, and willing to assume practical application in a professional environment setting.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required; Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in an Engineering disciplinePass pre-employment screening (drug & background)
Desired:
Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering student with an interest or experience in process improvement within a manufacturing settingPrevious internship or automotive experience; basic understanding of industrial automation, Auto CAD, SolidWorks, PLC, CNC, robotics, SPS and machine operation
MACI Intern Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
