Structural Engineer

McGill AirClean and McGill AirPressure, subsidiaries of United McGill, have over 70 years' experience solving air pollution control problems for a large variety of industrial sources, including furnaces, boilers, incinerators, kilns and dryers, and providing pressure processing equipment such as autoclaves and vacuum dryers for many industries. Responsibilities Manage long term projects to completion and within budget Coordinate project design with sales, estimating, project management, electrical, and mechanical groups Layout proposed systems using customer drawings and survey data Lead designers and subcontract engineering/design firms on equipment design Review work of designers and subcontractors, thoroughly checking drawings Assist fabrication/installation subcontractors resolving questions/issues Travel To jobsites to provide technical advice and gather design information Assist in evaluating, testing, and improving Company systems Requirements & Skills

• Proven working experience as a Project Engineer
• Eight years experience in engineering design work (preferably in Civil design)
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD design software
• Mechanical aptitude, steel/concrete design experience,and drawing/checking skills
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Ability to travel about 10% to 20% primarily in North America
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with PE registration The position is based in Columbus, OH.
