Our markets include Commercial, Industrial, and Federal construction. Our primary market is the Federal Government. Some of our clients include the US Air Force, GSA, and US Coast Guard. We typically work within a 5-hour radius of our corporate office in Warren, OH. Job Overview We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing construction projects from inception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful federal projects at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. https://www.facebook.com/dawnincorporated Responsibilities The Project Engineer is primarily responsible for ensuring all construction activities strictly adhere to design specifications, building codes, and rigorous site safety standards. Quality Control Responsibilities Develop, implement, and enforce the project's Quality Control Plan, ensuring all construction materials and installations meet contract specifications and industry standards. Conduct regular site walks, coordinate third-party testing, and document/track all non-conformance reports. Maintain accurate, up-to-date quality records, as-built drawings, submittals, and RFI (Request for Information) logs. Attend all project meetings where quality control is discussed. Safety & Health Responsibilities Enforce OSHA regulations, EM385-1-1 requirements, company safety policies, and site-specific safety plans (SSSPs) to maintain a zero-accident culture. Perform regular safety inspections, enforce PPE usage; immediately halt any unsafe work practices. Maintain accurate, up-to-date safety and health records and logs. Attend all project meetings where safety and health is discussed. Qualifications, Education, and Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Safety & Health, or related field; relevant experience may substitute for education. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record in both quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) and safety management. Proof of OSHA 30 Hour Construction certification required. USACE Construction Quality Control for Contractors certification preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Procore is preferred but not required. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and federal background check. Must be willing to travel between project sites located on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Willingness to travel within the company's service area preferred but not required.
