full-time Project Engineer / Office Engineer - State College, PA I'm currently representing a leading General Contractor in the State College, PA market that is looking to add a Project Engineer / Office Engineer to support the successful delivery of projects from preconstruction through to closeout. Working closely with the Project Manager and site team, you'll play a key role in scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, document control, and the day-to-day execution of commercial construction projects. This position is based in State College, PA , so candidates should be within a reasonable daily commute. Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of projects from preconstruction through to closeout. Manage assigned trades throughout preconstruction, including quantity take-offs, bid package preparation and buyout. Oversee assigned trades during construction, including scheduling, cost control, change management and client/consultant coordination. Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules. Process submittals, RFIs and change orders. Coordinate project documentation, digital records and overall project logistics. Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, vendors and the wider project team. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field. 3-5 years of construction experience, ideally within commercial construction. Strong understanding of project coordination, subcontractor management and construction documentation. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive problem solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software. Work Environment Combination of office and on-site responsibilities. Must be able to travel to project sites as required. Comfortable walking active construction sites, including uneven terrain and climbing stairs/ladders when necessary. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and within active construction environments.
