GPD is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our growing Transportation group in the Pittsburgh office .

The ideal candidate will possess:

Engineer with 3+ years of bridge design experience . Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Master's Degree in Civil Engineering a plus. Successfully passed EIT. Knowledge of AASHTO/PennDOT policies and standard procedures applicable for the analysis, evaluation, and design of various bridge types. Strong technical/computer software skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel), AutoCAD, Microstation and with PennDOT design software programs. Experience working on PennDOT/PTC projects. Experience in reading and fully understanding bridge construction drawings for transportation projects. Bridge inspection certification (CBSI) and/or experience a plus Ability to work within a team environment working with individuals from various offices and in various disciplines through all phases of design. Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities will include:

Technical problem-solving. Engineering design and documentation with an emphasis in Bridge Construction projects. Preparing bridge construction drawings, calculate bridge rebars and bridge quantity. Performing bridge inspections with professional engineers up to 5% of the time. Preparation of construction documents based upon field surveys, available resources, and client requirements. Supporting projects with technical design and documentation using MicroStation and Auto
