JOB SUMMARY
The Project Engineer serves as a primary technical lead for land development projects and oversees engineering design development while supporting Project Managers with project execution. This role ensures technical quality, coordinates permitting strategy, and mentors the design team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead engineering design on projects; set technical approach and ensure deliverables meet standards. Review calculations, reports, and plan sets for accuracy, completeness, and constructability. Develop permitting strategies and support agency coordination; address technical review comments. Mentor Designers and junior engineers; assign tasks and provide technical direction. Support Project Managers with staffing plans, schedules, risk identification, and technical scope management. Conduct internal QA/QC reviews and support final deliverable approvals. Support construction-phase services as needed (RFIs, submittals, clarifications). Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required OR equivalent education/experience combination.
Experience:
8-12 years land development engineering experience. Strong technical understanding of grading, utilities, and stormwater management. Professional Engineer (PE) preferred; or demonstrated progress toward licensure. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred:
Experience leading technical delivery on complex or fast-track projects. Strong ability to anticipate risks and propose practical design/approval options. Travel to other offices as needed
