Schedule:
Monday-Friday | Hybrid (Minimum 3 Days Onsite) Lloyd Staffing is partnering with a leading energy and infrastructure organization seeking an Assistant Project Engineer to support complex capital engineering and construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer or construction professional looking to gain hands-on experience managing projects from planning through completion. Working alongside experienced Project Engineers, you'll assist with project coordination, budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and stakeholder communication while supporting high-impact infrastructure initiatives. What You'll Do Support engineering and construction projects through all phases, including planning, design, construction, and closeout Prepare project plans, scopes of work, risk registers, purchase requisitions, and other project documentation Assist with contract administration, including contract awards, change orders, and supporting documentation Monitor project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and resource allocations Track project costs, invoices, accruals, and financial reporting Participate in project status meetings and maintain accurate project schedules and reporting Coordinate the review of engineering submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation Maintain project action item logs and follow up with internal and external stakeholders Support compliance with environmental, permitting, safety, regulatory, and construction requirements Assist Project Engineers with schedule management, contract administration, forecasting, and project reporting Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or related discipline), Construction Management, or a related technical field Minimum one year of experience in engineering, construction management, project coordination, or project administration Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including: Excel (Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, charts) Word (advanced formatting, cross-referencing, indexing) Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting capital construction, infrastructure, utility, industrial, or engineering projects Experience using project management or construction management software such as: Procore Microsoft Project Primavera P6 SAP Knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and contract administration Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification, or the desire to obtain one #IND123
