Your impact Support the development of projects through the conceptual/study phase, preliminary engineering, and final design and through to construction. Prepare and oversee staff in the CAD development of bridge details and plans sets. Compile bridge type, size, and location studies. Coordinate bridge layouts, details, and constraints with other disciplines including roadway, drainage, and survey. Identify creative and innovative bridge engineering solutions based on client, project, and site constraints. Perform calculations, assemble calculation packages, and provide bridge load ratings. Coordinate with a team to meet project milestones. Perform construction site visits (as needed). Assist in the development of specifications, cost estimates, and preparation of final bid packages. Review contractor submitted shop and working drawings and calculations, RFIS, and requests for design changes. Hybrid schedule is allowed.

This position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field and 2 years of work experience in the job offered or related Structural Engineering occupation. As an alternative, the employer will accept: a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field and 4 years of work experience in the job offered or related Structural Engineering occupation. Special skills:
Expertise and knowledge of: Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD. Bridge-specific software like MIDAS Civil. Structural analysis software like ETABS & ENERCALC.
Ability to prepare and review detailed engineering plans, drawings, calculations and specifications. Structural and seismic analysis and design required to handle projects. Problem-solving skills and ability to identify innovative design solutions. Familiarity with BIM tools like Revit and digital delivery options. Proven track record of managing projects through design and construction phases. Engineer-in-Training certification. Posted Salary Range:

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
