Civil Engineer Job Description We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of conceptual site planning, roadway and utility design, stormwater management, and cost estimating for various development projects. You will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, including utility design, drainage improvements, and project detailing for permitting and construction. Additionally, you will develop Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and create technical specifications, reports, and studies. Effective communication with professionals and team members, both in writing and orally, is essential. You will be expected to adhere to project schedules and deliverables. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of conceptual site planning, roadway and utility design, and stormwater management. Prepare detailed drawings for utility design, drainage improvements, and project detailing. Develop Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and related documentation. Create technical specifications, reports, and studies. Communicate effectively with other professionals and team members. Adhere to project schedules and required deliverables. Essential Skills Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. 3+ years of experience in Civil Engineering, focusing on land development. Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD. Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater management, and site design/planning. Additional Skills & Qualifications EIT or PE License. Proficiency in HydroCAD. Proficiency in MS Office. Work Environment The work environment offers a balance of remote and in-office work, with one remote day per week of your choice. Typical work hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexible hours available to accommodate traffic and commuting needs. You will be part of a firm currently in growth mode, offering the opportunity to be mentored by senior staff and develop your skills in Civil Engineering at a high level. The firm offers excellent PTO and benefits once you transition to a permanent position Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Plains, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
