Job Title:
Civil Engineer EIT - Civil Site Land Development Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer EIT with a focus on Civil Site Land Development. This role is vital in transforming raw land into functional sites for residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for comprehensive Civil Site Design, demonstrating proficiency in AutoCAD, grading, site plans, and hydrology. The role may involve client interaction and mentoring entry-level engineers. Responsibilities Perform site design and drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading plans, utility layouts, and roadway and parking lot designs. Prepare erosion and sediment control plans. Conduct hydrology and drainage tasks, performing stormwater runoff calculations using methods such as Rational or SCS Curve Number. Design detention ponds, culverts, and storm sewer networks, ensuring compliance with local stormwater regulations. Prepare hydrology reports and drainage studies for municipal approval. Coordinate with local jurisdictions for water and sewer permits. Manage permitting and compliance with zoning and environmental regulations. Essential Skills 4+ years of experience in Civil Engineering with a focus on Land Development. EIT certification, working towards PE. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Hydroflow. Strong knowledge of civil engineering design, land development, stormwater management, and site development. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with federal and local government projects, education facilities, and mission-critical facilities. Ability to work on projects for corporate, hospitality, and worship spaces. Work Environment The role is based in the office five days a week, with flexible working hours. Employees can start their day at 6am and leave at 3pm, or start at 9am and leave at 6pm. There is potential for more flexibility in the future. The position is available at either the Kennesaw or Lawrenceville office. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kennesaw, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
