Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for a Civil Engineer - Project Manager to join our Civil team. This role expands our project management capacity across a variety of site/civil engineering and land development projects for public and private clients, often involving multi-disciplinary teams. Typical project types include multi-family housing, single-family subdivisions, commercial, industrial, stormwater retrofit, and mixed-use residential development. This position is a great fit for a civil engineer with solid site design experience who appreciates the challenge of owning projects from initial concept through permitting and into construction support. The Project Manager will lead technical design efforts and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies throughout the life of a project. Key Responsibilities Leading site/civil engineering projects from concept through design, permitting, and construction support. Preparing site designs, including grading, layout, utilities, and erosion & sediment control plans Designing stormwater management systems Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams on land development, stormwater management, and utility design Developing project scopes, contracts, and budgets Attending field meetings, site visits, and Town/City public meetings Building and maintaining relationships with municipal staff and regulatory agencies Preparing reports and local/state permit applications Contributing to business development and client relationship efforts Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering preferred. 4-8 years of relevant site/civil engineering experience with strong site design skills, ideally on commercial and residential development projects. Maine Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Experience with local and state permitting requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with AutoCAD required; HydroCAD preferred. Travel to client sites, and attendance at town and city public meetings.
