Civil Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to assist in the preparation of conceptual site planning, roadway and utility design, stormwater management, and cost estimating for commercial, institutional, and residential developments. The ideal candidate will prepare detailed drawings, including utility design, drainage improvements, and project detailing for permitting and construction. Additional responsibilities include developing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and related documentation, creating technical specifications, reports, and studies, and communicating effectively with other professionals and team members. Adherence to project schedules and required deliverables is essential. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of conceptual site planning, roadway and utility design, stormwater management, and cost estimating. Prepare detailed drawings for utility design, drainage improvements, and project detailing for permitting and construction. Develop Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and related documentation. Create technical specifications, reports, and studies. Communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, with other professionals and team members. Adhere to project schedules and required deliverables. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience in Civil Engineering (land development). Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater management, and site design/planning. Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD. Proficiency in MS Office. Additional Skills & Qualifications EIT or PE License. Proficient in HydroCAD. Work Environment This role offers a flexible work environment with 1 remote day per week, where you can choose the day. Typical work hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexible hours available to accommodate traffic and commuting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Plains, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $50.00/hr.
