Job Description

GHD has an exciting opportunity for a Conveyance Engineer within our Design Delivery Organization (DDO) based out of one of our Northern California Offices. This role will be supporting a wide variety of clients, both public and private, spanning multiple industries and market sectors. This position will network within our West and Central Regions of the United States. This position can be located in any of our Northern CA offices (Concord, Eureka, Santa Rosa, Roseville, Sacramento, Redding, or Roseville)

Responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to: Collaborate with fellow professionals from the Design Delivery Organization (DDO) on a wide range of water and wastewater engineering projects, including conveyance, storage, and pumping design Developing and preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates (PS&E) packages and technical reports as required for delivery. Conduct field work to evaluate project requirements and to support construction administration Perform hydraulic analyses using manual or computer based software applications Prepare other engineering calculations Prepare design reports, project specifications, and cost estimates Employ your AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills to produce construction plan sets The idea candidate would have the following experience/skill set: Interest and experience with engineering and design of water and wastewater engineering projects is required Proficiency with CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Civil3D and MicroStation is required Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office Programs and PDF-editing software such as Bluebeam or Adobe is required. Experience in Microsoft Projects is a plus. Experience with Client management and/or coordination with suppliers, regulators, and sub-consultants is a plus Experience Serving as task manager, maintaining task/project budgets and schedules is a plus Experience with hydraulics, utilities, and construction inspections/observations is a plus. Familiarity with conveyance analysis or water/wastewater modeling software such as WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater, and/or Flowmaster Familiarity with storm water analysis or modeling software: Hydrology, hydraulics (closed conduit and open channel flow), hydromodification, storm water quality. Experience in ICPR/Stormwise, WSPGW, and StormCAD Talented at managing time, organizing priorities, and working in a fast-paced environment Ability to excel in a multidisciplinary team environment as well as independently Attention to detail in executing technical design responsibilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Education Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental preferred) Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience of applied knowledge in civil engineering Professional Engineer license preferred in California or can be acquired within 5 years Strong written and verbal communication abilities to work both within a team and independently Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software programs As a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce. Salary Range:
$74,000-$124,000 based on experience and location #LI-KM1
