Summary:
This position provides engineered construction access and structural shoring solutions through the application of BrandSafway's product portfolio. The Engineer II works closely with branch sales and field teams to develop safe, efficient, and practical solutions for construction projects. Working under the guidance of Senior Engineers and Centers of Excellence, this role leads project delivery through scope understanding, engineering calculations, and preparation of design drawings. This is a hybrid position with a mix of office and remote work, along with local site visits representing approximately 10% of time, providing hands on exposure to field operations and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare drawing submittals using Revit and AutoCAD in accordance with applicable design codes, OSHA regulations, and company standards. Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and design for access systems, including scaffold, hoists, mast climbers, and suspended systems. Utilize engineering software such as RISA, SCIA, TEDDS, ENERCALC, and similar tools to support design efforts. Provide technical support to branches, including occasional visits to branch locations and project sites. Collaborate with Product Development teams to support custom solutions and provide design feedback. Apply knowledge of BrandSafway products and regional fleet to develop efficient and optimized access solutions. Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast paced environment. Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or equivalent required; Master's degree is a plus. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in any state; Structural Engineer (SE) is a plus. 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. Proficient in CAD and 3D modeling using Revit and AutoCAD. Proficient in performing engineering calculations using standard software and internal tools. Proficient with structural analysis and FEA software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focused mindset. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to solve problems in a collaborative, fast paced team environment. Motivated to continue developing technical expertise within the construction and engineering industry.
