As an Entry-Level Structural Engineer, you will work with multi-discipline project teams in developing a range of engineering solutions from initial concepts to detailed design development and through construction. This is a diverse role that will involve your contributions and insight into the effective delivery of the department's current and future portfolio of projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:+ Develop and strengthen analytical and design skills.+ Assist with engineering design tasks under the guidance of experienced engineers.+ Prepare designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematics, and final working drawings.+ Collect, organize, and analyze data to support engineering decisions.+ Utilize engineering software to solve basic technical problems.+ Contribute to project work while adhering to established budgets and schedules.
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • + Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field. + Valid U.S. Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • + Academic track with structural engineering concentration is highly desirable.
+ Relevant internship experience in the execution of structural design projects is a plus. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail. + Some production software experience including but not limited to: MicroStation, AutoCAD, MS Office, Bluebeam is highly desirable. + Some structural analysis software experience including but not limited to: STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, CSI Bridge, and LUSAS is a plus. + Basic familiarity and working knowledge of relevant building codes and standards including
AASHTO, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318, ACI
530, NDS, etc. + Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. + Master of Science in Structural Engineering or related field is a plus.

  • + Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
+ Hybrid work schedule available, with required on-site work at the Mechanicsburg, PA office. A full-time in-office schedule is also an option. The selected candidate must be available to work in Mechanicsburg, PA on a scheduled basis. + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.   • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $75000 to $85000.
