Job Description

Graduate Civil Engineer - Land Development We are seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join a growing Land Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate or early-career engineer who wants hands-on experience designing residential, commercial, mixed-use, and municipal development projects. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Professional Engineers and Project Managers and gain exposure to projects from initial site planning and feasibility through permitting, design, and construction. Responsibilities Assist with the design and development of civil/site engineering projects. Prepare site plans, grading plans, utility plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and stormwater management designs. Support residential subdivisions, commercial developments, industrial sites, and other land-development projects. Perform basic hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for stormwater systems. Assist with roadway, parking lot, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, and utility design. Prepare engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D . Review surveys, zoning requirements, site constraints, and existing conditions. Assist with permitting packages and submissions to municipalities and regulatory agencies. Coordinate with surveyors, architects, environmental professionals, utility companies, and other project stakeholders. Participate in site visits and construction observations as needed. Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers with technical calculations, reports, specifications, and cost estimates. Respond to review comments and assist with revisions throughout the permitting process. Maintain project documentation and support schedules and deadlines. Develop knowledge of local, state, and federal land-development regulations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university. Recent graduates and candidates with approximately 0-3 years of experience are encouraged to apply. Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering, land development, surveying, construction, or municipal engineering is highly desirable. Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D preferred. Understanding of basic grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and site-design principles. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read engineering plans, surveys, and construction drawings. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple assignments. FE/EIT certification is preferred or willingness to pursue the FE exam. Interest in ultimately obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license .
