About the role:
As the Lead Engineer of AP1000 Module Fabrication, you will be responsible for fabrication support of structural modules within the Building Engineering & Physical Design department, with oversight of the fabrication support for the APl000 modules for the United States, Poland, Bulgaria, and other future plants. You will report to the Engineering Manager of Structural Design and Modules. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote flexibility with regular on-site collaboration two days per week at either our Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide engineering leadership and oversight of the small Modules (CA, CB, etc) fabrication support for AP1000 European and Domestic plants.
Coordinate with Supply Chain team to support fabricators.
Integrate Westinghouse external partners into the Fab Follow Engineering (FFE) Team.
Drive continuous improvement of products, process and procedures to support fabrication of the Modules.
Mentor and train engineers sharing your knowledge on fabrication and construction support of AP1000 Modules
Set day-to-day activities for FFE team, ensures that processes are understood and followed by the team, supply chain, suppliers, and other groups.
Provide management team information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing engineering data and trends.
Engage with external customers, partners, supply chain, and Westinghouse senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural or Mechanical preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience required.
- Experience with AP1000 modules fabrication and construction, preferred.
- Experience with European and US nuclear quality standards and engineering change control processes preferred.
- Experience managing engineering teams.
- Organize and delegate work and ensure that you complete deliverables on time with high quality.
- Experience making presentations.
You will be US-based with a preferred location in Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC. We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year. #LI-Hybrid Why Westinghouse?
