Contract Overview System One has an exciting opportunity for Pipe Stress Engineer to support commercial nuclear projects. Responsibilities Perform stress analyses for client projects involving modifications to existing power generation facilities and plant systems. Prepare piping and engineering specifications to support code compliance. Design and analyze modifications to existing power plants as well as new plant systems. Perform pipe stress calculations and develop design recommendations, isometrics, specifications, and design change packages. Lead design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design teams. Provide technical support for field execution, including outage/turnaround projects. Support constructability planning, proposal, and estimate development. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. Requirements BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university required. Minimum of 2-5 years of piping/mechanical design experience with a focus on pipe stress analysis projects in nuclear facilities, oil & gas or similar systems. Proficiency in AutoPIPE, GTStrudl, and Mathcad required. Knowledge of ME101, AutoPIPE, SuperPipe, AutoCAD, Laser Scanning and GTStrudl preferred. Experience with AutoCAD, Laser Scanning, and related engineering software preferred. Professional Engineering License preferred. Strong organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication with clients, colleagues, and colleagues within other disciplines, project managers, and management. Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, and CAD Software.
