Job Title:
Solar Project Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to support the design and construction of utility-scale solar farms. This role involves managing third-party engineering contractors who are responsible for developing comprehensive engineering design packages for solar projects. The position requires overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept definition to construction and final commissioning, in coordination with various internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities Manage third-party engineering contractors for solar project design packages. Oversee the project lifecycle from concept to commissioning. Coordinate with environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project management teams. Apply value engineering principles to balance reliability, cost, and performance. Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve business objectives. Manage schedules and budgets for large capital projects. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience. Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead and coordinate diverse stakeholders. Experience in engineering and project management on utility-scale solar projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in distributed generation (DG) or commercial solar. Knowledge of other power industry technologies such as wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substations, and transmission. Experience in aerospace, civil, or stormwater industries. Demonstrated leadership and project management strength. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palm Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
