What You Will Do:
Staff Engineers, Geotechnical for GFT Infrastructure, Inc. for our
GILBERT, AZ
loc. May telecommute up to 2 days/wk and occasionally more if workload and/or project requirements permit. Performs engineering calcs, technical studies, field inspections, and prepares plans and specs for variety of projects, such as deep foundations, natural and engineered slopes, and assists in the geotechnical aspects for various technical tasks. Provides general oversight and management of design-related activities for a project, including technical reviews. Prepares calculation briefs, reports, and letters. Works with client and other disciplines to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by scope of work. Reviews and approves geotechnical calculations and modeling involved in the evaluation of various technical aspects of project work. Reviews vendor drawings and evaluates need for design changes and makes appropriate recommendations for geotechnical tasks. Consults with construction personnel concerning field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling of activities. Ensures production of drawings and specifications meets scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements and satisfies all federal, state, and local requirements. May oversee tasks of Jr.-level engineers. Manages subsurface investigation programs. Communicates independently with clients. Works in multi-disciplinary teams and leads tasks and simple project teams. Education |
Experience:
What you will bring to our firm: Field activity occasionally will require work outside of normal hours (i.e., early morning) as well as extended work hours. National travel to project sites and conferences may involve up to 60 days/yr, potentially exceeding 10 days/trip. May undergo background checks and random drug testing. Must have Bach in Civil Engineering or other related engineering field and 4 yrs rel geotechnical engineering experience. Reqs the following skills (4 yrs exp) in: AutoCAD/Civil 3D geo-design software; MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); stability and foundation analysis software tools: SlopeW or Slide and FAD tools or LPile. Compensation:
$112,611 - to $114,700 #LI-DNI #LI-Onsite
