Job Description

Job Overview Transpac Marinas is a leading designer and supplier of high-performance floating systems, including docks, breakwaters, and custom marine structures used throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Our work blends engineering, project management, and fabrication to deliver reliable and innovative infrastructure solutions for our clients. In support of our work, we are seeking a mid-level Structural / Marine Engineer with experience in the development, analysis, design, and detailing of floating concrete, steel, and timber structures. This position works closely with senior engineers, project managers, and contractors to deliver unique solutions from preliminary concept through final design. Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and design of floating structures including breakwaters, attenuators, docks, and debris barriers. Evaluate and apply environmental constraints to establish project design criteria. Develop structural design calculations for wave loading, hydrostatic forces, buoyancy, stability, uplift, and dynamic response of timber, concrete, and steel structures. Develop design of anchoring and mooring systems (chain, pile, etc.). Perform drafting in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, etc.). Model structures and develop calculations using engineering software (Mathcad, L-Pile, RISA, SAP, etc.) Select and apply applicable guidelines from common codes (ACI, AISC, ASCE, PIANC, UFC, etc.) Perform review and approval of shop drawings and submittals. Contribute to project management, client communication, and proposal preparation. Maintain engineering standards, policies, and procedures. Participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain technical proficiencies. Mentor and collaborate with junior engineers and drafting teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture. 3 - 10 years of experience in structural design. Licensure or ability to obtain licensure in Western United States including Alaska, Washington, and Oregon. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of steel fabrication and precast concrete processes. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Transpac Office, Anacortes, WA (hybrid-remote options available)
Schedule:
