Structural Engineering Intern - Hiring Event with AECOM - Philadelphia
  • AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Philadelphia on October 7-8, 2026.
  • This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027.
  • The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm,
  • w you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You'll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.
  • On Thursday, interviews will take place at our Philadelphia office.

  • Structural Engineering Intern
  • interested in joining the AECOM team in our Conshohocken, PA office.
The position offers the opportunity to gain experience on a variety of infrastructure projects, including the design of bridges and other transportation structures, such as walls and sign structures that are critical to our nation's transportation network and vital to local communities.

Internships at AECOM offer students in undergraduate and graduate programs the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering, design, and infrastructure projects that make a real-world impact. Additionally, AECOM's dedication to innovation and sustainability enables interns to contribute to meaningful projects that help shape communities and the built environment._This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2027._
  • The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • + ing technical training to perform basic calculations, work well in a team setting and be willing to work diligently to learn new skills.
+ Assisting with tasks related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation, and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary transportation structures.+ Assisting with preliminary to final design calculations and plan development, reviewing of field information, possible field inspection of existing facilities.+ Assisting with general office administration, including technical report reproduction.
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • + Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or in another related field and must have completed at least 2 years of study.
Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor's degree and plan to continue with the Master's degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship. + Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required for this position. + Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • + Some basic coursework in steel and concrete design. + Proficiency in MS Office Suite. + Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software. + Team oriented with strong communication skills. + Ability to manage time, deadlines, keep track of steps, and prioritize tasks.

+ Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. + This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Conshohocken, PA. The selected candidate must be available to work in Conshohocken, PA on a scheduled basis.   • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $22 to $27.
