USA Southwest Region (AZ, CA, CO, HI, NM, NV, UT) or Canada - Remote/Home-Based Position Summary As a Senior Structural Engineering Professional, you will be a key member of the design team responsible for leading and executing structural analysis and design. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and may serve as a Lead Structural Engineer for medium-sized projects or a Sub-Lead on larger projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Structural Design & Analysis Perform advanced structural analysis and design with minimal supervision Apply engineering techniques, procedures, and industry standards Conduct lateral analysis (wind & seismic) in compliance with US building codes Design and analyze steel and concrete structures Project Leadership & Execution Lead structural scope for medium-sized projects or support large-scale projects Plan, prioritize, and manage workload to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals Define scope, forecast effort, and identify scope changes Escalate risks and issues to Structural Lead or Project Manager Quality & Compliance Ensure high standards of quality control and accuracy Perform and review structural calculations (self and peers) Maintain compliance with codes such as
IBC, ASCE
7, ACI, and AISC Collaboration & Communication Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural design Communicate technical requirements clearly in drawings and models Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Leadership & Mentorship Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior engineers and designers Support development of workflows, systems, and tools Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis preferred) Professional Engineer License (PE/PEng) 10+ years of structural engineering experience Proficiency with US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC) Proficiency with structural analysis tools, Navisworks, and Bluebeam Strong experience in steel and concrete structural design Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Structural Engineer (SE) License Experience in semiconductor or industrial facilities Experience leading medium-sized teams Working Conditions & Requirements Must be located in the USA Southwest Region or Canada Must have reliable home internet for remote work Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Key Skills Advanced Structural Analysis & Design Seismic & Wind Load Expertise Project Leadership & Team Management Engineering Software (Navisworks, Bluebeam) Problem-Solving & Decision-Making Communication & Stakeholder Management
