Job Description

Construction Engineer We are seeking a dedicated Construction Engineer to oversee and coordinate all construction-related activities at our site. This person will be managing capital improvement projects on site daily. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless operations and compliance with safety and site requirements. If this sounds like you, apply to learn more! Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact for all construction-related activities at the site. Coordinate across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Leadership to ensure readiness for upcoming work. Act as the day-to-day liaison with the construction management firm. Ensure construction work follows approved drawings, schedules, and site requirements. Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and access protocols. Identify and coordinate utility tie-ins and system interferences, including electrical, steam, water, HVAC, and controls. Communicate outages, temporary conditions, and recovery plans to minimize operational impact. Track schedules, surface risks or conflicts, and support issue resolution. Provide clear status updates and maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Support project close-out, including punch lists and return-to-normal operations. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3-7 years of experience supporting construction or capital projects in an active manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience coordinating work across multiple internal teams. Working knowledge of construction sequencing, utility coordination, and site safety. Strong organizational skills with clear and confident communication abilities. Experience with construction, construction management, project management, and facilities. Knowledge in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, scheduling, and project support. HVAC experience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of North Kingstown, RI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
