Mid Level Salary:
$90,000 - $115,000 per year Job Details - The Senior Project Engineer plays a key role in driving project execution from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents on large-scale, vertical construction projects. This is a traveling role across the Southeast U.S., supporting active job sites where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead RFI, submittal, and document control processes with minimal oversight Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain schedule and quality Assist in project scheduling, phasing plans, and look-ahead planning Track and manage project costs, change orders, and budget impacts Support buyout and procurement efforts for key trades Drive QA/QC processes and ensure work aligns with plans/specs Maintain strong communication between field operations and office teams Assist in project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation
What We're Looking For:
4-8+ years of experience in commercial construction Experience on student housing, multifamily, or mid/high-rise projects strongly preferred Proven ability to manage project documentation and coordination independently Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and logistics Proficient with tools like Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast (project-based assignments) Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred A bit about us: - We're a large, well-established regional General Contractor with a dominant presence across the Southeast.
