We are a specialized forensic engineering and building diagnostics consulting firm serving clients throughout the Southeast. Our team investigates building failures, evaluates mechanical systems, performs moisture and building envelope diagnostics, and provides expert engineering opinions for property owners, attorneys, insurance carriers, contractors, and developers.
What You'll Do:
We are seeking a Structural Engineer who enjoys investigating complex structural issues, identifying root causes, and solving challenging engineering problems. This role offers a unique opportunity to move beyond traditional design work and become involved in forensic investigations, structural assessments, building evaluations, and construction defect analysis.
What We Offer:
Competitive Base Salary + Bonus + Full Benefits You should know some of the following: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis or Structural Engineering. PE License required or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe. 4+ years of structural engineering experience. Experience with structural analysis and building systems. Strong technical writing and report preparation skills. Ability to conduct site investigations, climb ladders, access roofs, and inspect structures in various conditions. Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
PE license in South Carolina or ability to obtain through reciprocity. Experience with forensic engineering, construction defect litigation support, or building diagnostics. Experience evaluating wood, steel, concrete, and masonry structures. Knowledge of building codes and construction practices. Prior expert witness support experience is a plus.
