Orange, TX OR Morgan City, LA Salary:
$110,000 - $140,000 + relo assistance
Summary:
A reputable shipbuilding company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Sr. Project Engineer for either their Orange, TX or Morgan City, LA shipyard.
Responsibilities:
The ideal Sr. Project Engineer will have the following responsibilities: Participate in project kick-off meetings to review schedules, project strategies, and key requirements. Develop and maintain project documentation, including document logs and requirement matrices, while ensuring proper distribution of design documents. Perform field engineering activities such as as-built surveys, interference resolution, and technical troubleshooting as needed. Prepare, review, and manage technical documents, specifications, drawings, manuals, procedures, and equipment evaluations. Coordinate design reviews and engineering activities with project management, subcontractors, internal teams, and production personnel to support project execution and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications:
The ideal Sr. Project Engineer will have the following skill set: B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline (Marine or Naval Architecture preferred) 5+ years of project experience in the shipbuilding or construction industry Experience managing government programs Experience leading/communicating with cross-functional teams Must be a US Citizen due to the nature of this role
