Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Senior/Lead Structures Payload Engineer with experience in Blankets and Monuments Shipside Support Engineering
  • Interiors Development
  • in San Antonio, TX.
  • The Interiors Development team is looking for an individual with experience in aircraft shipside support and blankets design.
  • This position requires proficiency in shipside support, blankets design and discrepancy disposition, and factory shipside support. Familiarity with Client processes, aerospace defense platforms, and VIP modifications is desired.
  • Position will require flexibility with factory demands, including alternate shifts as needed to support the factory.
  • Provides oversight and direction to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
  • Leads development, maintenance and modification of structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Leads performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
  • Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
  • Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
  • Works under consultative direction.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide Design and Shipside Engineering services for a military platform for insulation designs, aircraft monument designs, change orders, and drawing revisions in Catia, Enovia, and IVT. Shipside Subject Matter Expert in Insulation Design, able to immediately contribute to the team's velocity of work products. Work is performed in San Antonio, Texas, in a controlled area and employee must have an active secret clearance. Work includes shipside support in an austere environment and includes climbing scaffolding and working inside a platform for shipside support, while modifications are in work.
