We are seeking a motivated and analytical Field Engineer to join our construction (mechanical or electrical) team in Taylor, Texas. As we lead the construction of a cutting-edge semiconductor foundry project, we are looking for entry-level engineering graduates specializing in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. In this role, you will bridge the gap between field operations and office engineering, supporting multidisciplinary coordination, technical submittal reviews, quality control, and schedule tracking in a high-tech industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Submittal & Document Control:

Review, process, and track technical submittals, shop drawings, material data, and Requests for Information (RFIs) submitted by subcontractors, ensuring complete alignment with project specifications and design documents.

Field Engineering & Coordination:

Support field operations by coordinating daily construction activities, monitoring subcontractor execution, and assisting senior managers in verifying adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

Blueprint & Design Compliance:

Review architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical drawings and blueprints to identify discrepancies, resolve field clashes, and ensure construction is executed in compliance with contract requirements.

Progress Tracking & Reporting:

Assist in monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly project progress, compiling data for progress reports, and maintaining accurate project logs using document control systems and management software.

Quality & Safety Assurance:

Support on-site quality control inspections and safety walkthroughs, identifying potential non-compliance issues and assisting in the implementation of corrective actions.

Cost & Billing Support:

Assist in reviewing subcontractor quantity take-offs, tracking material deliveries, and processing monthly progress payment documentation and backup materials.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration:

Coordinate closely with General Contractors (GC), design consultants, client representatives, and specialized trade contractors across architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.

Administrative & Project Support:

Carry out assigned project engineering duties, attend coordination meetings, and support the project team in general operations and emergency response procedures as required.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related engineering/construction discipline (New Graduates / Entry-Level).

Software Proficiency:

Proficient in office productivity tools, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a strong aptitude for learning engineering and project management software.

Analytical & Technical Skills:

Strong capability to read, interpret, and analyze architectural or engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

Communication:

Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively coordinate across diverse teams and stakeholders.

Language Bonus:

Bilingual fluency in Spanish or Korean is considered a strong plus (not mandatory). Key Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

Industry Exposure:

Prior internship, co-op, or academic project experience in semiconductor, high-tech industrial, cleanroom, or large-scale commercial building construction.

Technical Knowledge:

Foundational understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, HVAC, cleanroom utility piping, power distribution, or structural concrete works.

Cost & Contract Awareness:

Basic familiarity with construction estimation, cost controls, bidding procedures, or quantity surveying.

Schedule Flexibility:

Flexibility and availability for required overtime work, overnight shifts, or holiday schedules as dynamic project milestones dictate.
