- Level 4 located in Promontory, UT, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
Your Role and Impact:
Create engineering drawings and specifications to define design for hardware fabrication, write test plans, support fabrication efforts, oversee testing, analyze test data and revise designs based on results. Perform 2D and 3D structural analysis for the design of flight hardware and test articles using Siemens NX CAD software and ANSYS Provide DE production support including MRB resolution Mentor engineers on the design process, drawing/specification release, and MRB system Maintain group training and standards on the design process for the Metals/Structures team Other duties as assigned If this job description reads like it was written specifically for you, consider joining our team!Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or associated discipline with 8 years of solid rocket motor design and manufacturing experience- OR•Master's degree with 6 years of professional experience•OR•PhD with 4 years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
MRB DE signature for the NASA program Master's degree in mechanical engineering or associated discipline Strong understanding of solid rocket motor system design, development, and manufacturing. Extensive background knowledge of the NASA program and history of the metal case including joints and seals design Understanding of forging and machining practices of metal components Structures design experience with metallic materialsPrimary Level Salary Range:
$122,800.00- $184,200.
