Position Summary We are hiring a Project Engineer to support civil construction projects across the Salt Lake Valley. This is a hands-on role working closely with project managers and field teams to ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish. Why Join JWright? Work on local projects —be home every night Join a stable, growing Utah-based company Strong team culture with hands-on leadership and support Clear path for career advancement into Project Management Company vehicle provided for work-related travel Key Responsibilities Support the planning and execution of civil construction projects Working Knowledge of Civil utility work, Dry Utility Installation, dirt work, and Mass excavation Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers Review project plans, specifications, and contracts Track project schedules, quantities, and budgets as required regarding job progress, costs, material usage, etc Assist with RFIs, submittals, and change orders Works with suppliers as required facilitating the handling and expediting delivery of materials. Conduct site visits to ensure quality, safety, and progress Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Minimum 2 years of experience in civil construction or similar industry preferred Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, HCSS and Computer Ease Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Valid driver's license with clean MVR Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen Work Authorization & Location Requirements Must be able to reliably commute to Murray, Utah and surrounding job sites Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship We are not able to provide visa sponsorship or international relocation for this position No relocation assistance is provided Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays Company vehicle for project-related travel Ongoing training and professional development
