Full Job Description Job Summary:
Full job description We are seeking a structural engineer with experience designing commercial and residential structures to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the design team to coordinate drawings and meet project needs and deadlines. A wonderful opportunity for someone who recently received their PE licensure!
Responsibilities/Skills:
Communicate daily with Operations Manager regarding job-hour tracking details, office supply needs, calendar updates (i.e. site visits, vacation time, meetings, etc.), client contacts, job proposals and submittals for invoicing. Confer for periodic license renewals, expense and invoice tracking, special client needs and other office incidentals. Design, sketch, mark-up, and review drawings for buildings and structural components including, but not limited to, beams, columns, foundations, and trusses capable of withstanding the elements to which they will be exposed to in order to meet various state and local codes, with focus on public health and safety, cost efficiency, and general aesthetics. Perform Calculations
  • Consider loads and stresses, create the proof of stability, determine cost of associated structural systems, and additional design revisions.
Analyze structural drawing details to meet project specifications, identify measurement and/or calculation errors, correct potential construction challenges, revise client requests, and monitor project progress with the engineer team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to conferring with architects, contractors, designers, other engineers, and stakeholders to provide technical advice, discuss project schedules, attending site visits, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines. Conduct site visits to gather information for projects and/or documents for teams when conducting inspections. Inspect properties to check conditions of foundations, stairways, balconies, porches, etc. Outlining a projects Scope of Work
  • Listing the responsibilities of engineering firm and client
  • and associated costs based on client consultation in a written agreement to be signed by the client in order to execute the agreement and proceed with the next steps in the project timeline. Team collaboration

Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license is required Proficiency in structural analysis software and drafting tools Valid driver's license Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills. Experience using Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets, and CAD software. 5 years of Structural Engineering experience (Preferred) Software experience

  • Required, must be Proficient RISA

  • Must be able to conduct basic research related to jobs
