Project Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team and support a large-scale heavy civil infrastructure project in the greater Seattle area. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional to gain experience on a complex civil project involving major earthwork, dam, hydro, transportation, and infrastructure components. The individual will work closely with the project team to support various project controls, submittals, work plans, scheduling efforts, estimating activities, and field operations throughout the lifecycle of a long-term infrastructure program. Responsibilities Prepare and manage project submittals, RFIs, and project documentation. Assist in developing work plans, means and methods, and construction execution plans. Support schedule development, updates, and tracking activities. Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel. Assist with estimating, quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost tracking. Maintain project records and documentation using company systems and platforms. Support procurement activities and material tracking. Participate in project meetings and provide administrative and technical support to the project team. Assist with reporting and project communication across internal and external stakeholders. Essential Skills Minimum 2 years of construction project engineering experience. Experience in supporting submittals, work plans, scheduling activities, and construction documentation. Experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, transportation, water resources, or related construction projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Bluebeam, and Procore. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Federal project experience preferred. Infrastructure or structures project experience preferred. Work Environment The work environment involves sharing an office with a construction partner in Renton, with likely travel to the project site near Ravensdale, WA. The position involves working in a collaborative environment that is part of a joint venture for a large project expected to span over five years. The fast-paced setting offers significant opportunities for career growth as the client continues to expand its U.S. project portfolio. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Renton, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
