Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Structural Designer / Structural Engineer to join our engineering design team. The successful candidate will perform structural analysis and design for commercial building projects, develop construction documents, coordinate with architects and MEP consultants, and ensure compliance with building codes and material specifications. This role requires hands-on experience with structural analysis software and a strong foundation in practical construction practices across steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform structural analysis and design for commercial buildings, including gravity and lateral systems, foundations, and connections.

Develop clear, coordinated structural construction drawings and specifications using Revit and CAD tools.

Use structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, RAM) to model structures, perform calculations, and produce design outputs.

Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and local jurisdiction requirements.

Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design and constructability issues.

Prepare design calculations, material takeoffs, and technical reports to support project deliverables.

Participate in site visits and construction support, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Structural or Civil Engineering2-3+ years of structural design experience, preferably in a design firm environment working on commercial building projectsProven experience with structural analysis and design software: ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, and RAMProficient in Revit for structural modeling and production of coordinated construction documentsStrong understanding of construction materials and structural systems: steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and woodWorking knowledge of building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, AWC, local codes)Experience coordinating with MEP engineers and other design disciplinesProfessional Engineer (PE) license or EIT with path to licensure highly preferredBenefitsCompetitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package, including $0 co-pays for health insurance.
