Geotechnical Engineer N8w22350 Johnson Dr, Waukesha, WI 53186 Full-time Full-time Job description: Giles Engineering Associates, Inc. (Giles) is a leading provider of Geotechnical, Construction Materials Testing, and Environmental services. Giles is looking to expand our geotechnical engineering department and actively seeking an entry-level Geotechnical Engineer or Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Waukesha, Wisconsin team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Coordination and communication with the field and laboratory personnel throughout project completion
  • Oversee field and laboratory services and analyze data and findings
  • Client communication throughout the duration of the project, including time and expense management
  • Writing and review of technical reports, specifications, and construction plans
  • Development of appropriate foundation and site-related Geotechnical recommendations
Writing and Review of Proposals Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ideally, previous field experience associated with subsurface investigations and foundation construction
  • Professional demeanor
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, driven, and positive personality, with a great work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and with others
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical emphasis or Geological Engineering
  • 0 to 5 years of experience under a geotechnical engineer
