Manpower Engineering is exclusively partnering with a very reputable, well-established and growing company in Waukesha, WI on a hybrid, highly visible, and direct hire/permanent Sr. Structural Engineer, PE position that's available due to continued growth and offers strong professional development and growth opportunities. Compensation Plan:
Depending on qualifications/experience, this opportunity can offer a base salary up to $150,000 and also paid overtime at 1.5x. Full Benefits Package .
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
The Sr. Structural Engineer, PE will work closely with the drafting staff to design and analyze structural components, review detailed drawings, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
Develop structural designs and calculations for low-rise commercial and industrial buildings. Coordinate with drafting staff who will create the detailed drawings and specifications using CAD and BIM software. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and support investigative engineering efforts. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design integrity and compliance with codes. Review construction documents, review of shop drawings and product submittals. Provide technical support during construction phases and address any structural issues that arise.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Proficiency in structural analysis software. Experience with Risa 3D, Enercalc and/or Woodworks is a plus.
Preferred:
Experience with low-rise commercial buildings. Experience with building codes and industry standards. Experience with investigative engineering and forensic analysis. Excellent communication and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
