Job Description

Civil Engineer This is an exciting time for a Professional Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a registered engineer and have years of design experience, excellent communication skills and proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D. The successful candidate will join a team of other professionals servicing a diverse base of clients throughout WV, OH and beyond. This is a full-time position located at our Akron, Ohio office. General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Perform all aspects of civil engineering design including civil site design (layout, grading, utilities, etc.); engineering analysis; prepare design concepts; calculations and specifications; conduct site investigations and visits; write reports and proposals.
  • Attend meetings with clients and contractors.
  • Work with a multi-discipline team of architects, engineers, interior designers, and surveyors.
  • Participate in team meetings and coordinate efforts with other team members.
  • Develop discipline specifications for review by the Senior Engineer.
  • Mentor and collaborate with other designers and engineers.
  • Review drawings prepared by peers (QA/QC).
  • Coordinate project deliverables with other disciplines.
  • Adhere to project budget and schedule.
  • Prepare estimates of probable costs of construction.
  • Prepare accurate, complete, and code-compliant drawings and specifications for schematic, design development, and construction document submittals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Institution.
  • Registration as a professional engineer (PE) with the state of Ohio.
  • Experience in Land Development and site design is desired.
  • Proficient familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication and design skills.
