Position Summary STLCC is seeking an Adjunct Survey Technology Instructor to teach any of four surveying related classes. Two classes run per semester in Fall and Spring. Instruction includes both theoretical and hands-on components focused on safe and effective equipment operation. CE 240 Surveying 1 (lecture and lab class) CE 250 Surveying 2 (lecture and lab class) CE 247 Legal Aspects of Boundary Surveying (lecture only) CE 248
Land Records:
Researching and Rules of Construction (lecture only) Primary Duties Performed Prepare and deliver lectures and laboratory exercises related to surveying Instruct students on preparation for testing and projects Provide hands-on training in safe and effective surveying operations. Evaluate student learning and provide constructive feedback. Maintain readiness and operational condition of the equipment. Qualifications/Experience Bachelor's degree in Civil Eng/Construction/Mechanical Eng Engineering or Engineering Technology Associates or 5 years in Civil or Construction fields Professional land surveyors license Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a field related to Civil Engineering/Surveying or related field Prior college-level teaching experience. Working Conditions Evening, weekend, or online teaching assignments may be required depending on course scheduling
Physical Requirements:
Negligible to moderate physical activity, which may include standing for extended periods, light lifting of instructional materials, and use of standard classroom or computer equipment.
