This role is ideal for someone who enjoys Revit and AutoCAD/Civil 3D drafting , fieldwork, and collaborating with engineers to improve local infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed drawings and design layouts using AutoCAD/Civil 3D Interpret redlines , topographic surveys , and sketches to develop plans Collaborate with project managers , engineers, and other technicians to create engineering plans Calculate dimensions and quantities for roadways , utilities , and site work Provide field support including construction observation , surveying , and materials testing Serve as RPR on job sites to ensure project execution aligns with plans Create graphics and drawings for reports, proposals, and presentations Maintain field diaries , document progress, and provide updates to leadership Travel as needed for site visits during construction season (overnight stays possible)
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Technical Drafting preferred) 2-5 years of drafting or field experience (municipal infrastructure preferred) Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D (bonus for SketchUp , ArcMap GIS ) Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Valid driver's license and ability to travel Strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork skills Ability to work in both office and outdoor environments Midwest Staffing Group & KeyStaff Professionals prohibits discrimination against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, creed, age, sex, national origin, ancestry, marital status, familial status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran status, genetic information, status with regard to public assistance, and any other characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and/or local laws.
