CAREER.Consider joining our team with the following opportunity: A Civil Engineer (EIT) with Houston Engineering Inc. will spend time in the field working on outdoor construction phase activities as well as a variety of in-office projects assisting engineers. Engineering projects range from complex grade separation projects and large bridges spanning a river with architectural enhancements to box culverts for a rural township over a small ditch. We are seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our team in our Sioux Falls office. This role is intended for an individual with 0-3 years of prior experience. Job DescriptionAssist with plan specifications and estimates as well as documenting construction activities.

Assist with AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings and update redlines with various project set drawings.

Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station.

Perform work in a variety of software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, etc.

Potential observation and data collection at different types of project sites.

Assist with research, development and design of projects.

QualificationsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering 0-3 years of experience in Civil Engineering Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with AutoCAD or Civil 3D and ArcGIS is helpful.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members, and clients.

Superior task management skills, including scheduling, prioritizing, following up, and keeping project information organized.

Superior problem solving and analytical skills.
