Education:
10+ years heavy industrial/power plant experience Job responsibilities Include producing 3D models and design drawings for structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or ductwork, preparing layouts and conceptual designs, reviewing vendor shop fabrication drawings, preparing material takeoffs and assist with cost estimates, coordinating work with other disciplines, clients, and contractors, and performing site walk-downs for field verification and to address constructability. Skillsets and expertise Proficient using AutoCAD, 3D modeling experience is strongly preferred, experience in Microsoft/Bentley and/or Advanced steel structural software is preferred, steel/concrete detailing background is a plus. Must be able to produce clear, concise drawing notes, able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors. This position requires driving (excluding commute) This position requires personal protective equipment This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
