Horst Architects is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and design-driven Project Manager / Architectural Designer to join our studio. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented architect or designer who is passionate about residential architecture and enjoys contributing to all phases of the design and construction process—from conceptual design through project completion. We are looking for a candidate with exceptional design sensibilities, strong graphic communication skills, and the ability to translate ideas into thoughtful, well-executed architectural solutions. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of professional architectural experience, with a strong emphasis on design Exceptional architectural design talent and creative problem-solving abilities Demonstrated experience developing projects from conceptual design through construction documentation Strong proficiency in drafting architectural plans and details with minimal supervision Professional degree in Architecture Excellent graphic, written, and verbal communication skills Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Twinmotion, and other visualization/rendering software Experience in residential architecture preferred Knowledge of California building codes preferred Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative studio environment Strong organizational skills, personal initiative, and time management abilities Professional and reliable interpersonal skills What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a passionate designer who values thoughtful architecture, attention to detail, and the pursuit of design excellence. A strong portfolio demonstrating creative design work, graphic presentation skills, and built project experience is highly encouraged.
