Job Description

Job description Craftwater Engineering is seeking Entry Level Water Resources Engineers with zero to three years of experience to join our growing Design Group. The successful candidate shall have a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited school. This position requires no prior work experience so those who recently graduated or will be graduating this spring with the aforementioned degree are strongly encouraged to apply. E.I.T. is preferred and CAD proficiency is a plus. •
Your Role:
As a Civil Design Assistant in our Pasadena, CA office, you will utilize your knowledge gained at school to perform work primarily on the study and design of regional stormwater capture, stormwater harvesting, and green infrastructure projects while working in a team-oriented setting and interacting with clients and team consultants. Qualifications Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 0-3 years of experience Working knowledge of AutoCAD Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to adapt with changing priorities Self-motivated to work on individual tasks and in a team environment Must be able to communicate with verbal and written clarity Experience in report writing and presentation development General knowledge of graphic design tools Knowledgeable in water resources engineering, specifically hydrology and hydraulics (Preferred) Experience using Civil 3D (Preferred) Some knowledge of fluid mechanics and survey basics (Preferred) Experience with ArcGIS (Preferred) Experience with Stormwater BMP basics and/or LID Responsibilities Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D software to create civil construction documents for publicly funded stormwater capture design projects. Project work will involve grading, hydraulics, hydrology, site layout, soil erosion and sediment control, and utility designs Support development of stormwater capture facility conceptual design content, including conceptual drawings and maps, geospatial analysis, hydraulic analysis, and technical writing Provide necessary design, coordination, and follow up on work to ensure quality standards are met and efficiency levels are maintained Demonstrate a commitment and organized approach to work and willingness to ask questions Commit to the various duties necessary to advance Craftwater's qualifications and reputation in the industry Employ critical thinking and creative problem solving skills to formulate engineering solutions to challenging problems and achieve new technical and professional goals Describe and present project efforts and goals in a way that is easily understood by clients and the public at large Report to our shared workspace 4 times per week in Pasadena, CA.
