Job Description
Job Summary A direct hire opportunity is available for a Senior Designer focused on large-scale workplace and commercial interior projects. This role is ideal for an experienced design professional who can lead complex projects from discovery and concept development through final approvals, procurement support, installation, and punch-list resolution. The Senior Designer will serve as a strategic design partner to clients, architects, project managers, and internal teams, bringing strong technical knowledge, creative problem-solving, and polished presentation skills to high-visibility projects. This position offers the opportunity to influence design standards, mentor developing designers, and contribute to client-focused workplace solutions in a collaborative, quality-driven environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex site walkthroughs, client discovery sessions, project kickoffs, and needs assessments for workplace and commercial interior projects.
- Direct conceptual design strategy, including space planning, test fits, block plans, product recommendations, finish selections, and budget-aligned design solutions.
- Manage design development for large or multi-phase projects while reviewing specifications, resolving design conflicts, and ensuring technical accuracy.
- Lead client presentations, secure design approvals, and coordinate design schedules with construction, technology, relocation, procurement, and installation timelines.
- Oversee installation drawing packages, power and data plans, as-built documentation, site walkthroughs, punch-list resolution, and field issue escalation.
- Mentor junior and mid-level designers while supporting design standards, file management practices, software workflows, quality control, and team development. Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 to $125,000 per year.
