Civil Design Engineer

Job Summary Seeking a highly motivated Principal Engineer Designer to join a dynamic multi-disciplinary engineering team supporting impactful land development projects throughout the Inland Empire region. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of large-scale and community-focused developments while collaborating with experienced industry professionals in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in civil engineering design, land development, grading, and subdivision improvement plans, along with hands-on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Key Responsibilities Prepare and develop grading plans from conceptual design through final construction documents Support land development and subdivision projects including site layout, roadway design, drainage systems, and earthwork calculations Prepare and process engineering maps, improvement plans, and related project documentation Coordinate with internal engineering teams, public agencies, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle Ensure designs comply with applicable jurisdictional codes, standards, and regulatory requirements Assist with project planning, technical problem solving, and design reviews Support permitting and entitlement processes for land development projects Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience Minimum 4 years of land development engineering/design experience Equivalent experience of 8+ years may be considered in lieu of degree requirements Strong experience preparing grading plans from concept to final design Experience with subdivision mapping, roadway design, drainage design, and earthwork calculations Working knowledge of local jurisdictional standards, codes, and permitting procedures, preferably within the Inland Empire region Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required Preferred Qualifications Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment Experience working on commercial, residential, and mixed-use land development projects Knowledge of California civil engineering standards and development processes

Pay:

$44.00 - $59.00 per hour
