Modeler II who thrives in a collaborative, fast paced environment and takes pride in producing precise, well coordinated models that support successful project delivery. Position Summary The
BIM / VDC
Modeler II is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining detailed electrical models using Revit and related tools. This role supports project teams by producing accurate layouts, resolving clashes, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring models reflect current design and field conditions. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working on large scale commercial electrical projects. Key Responsibilities Perform layout and input of marked up drawings into Revit in accordance with company standards. Lead modeling efforts on assigned projects, coordinating with support modelers to complete deliverables. Set up Revit views, sheets, and work sets for use by project teams. Manage electronic document filing, model organization, and version control. Work with lead modelers and engineers to develop Revit families for project specific needs or updated standards. Coordinate electrical models with other trades in 3D environments to support clash detection and constructibility. Update models based on RFIs, design changes, field conditions, and coordination meetings. Support design build and design assist projects by preparing accurate and constructible electrical layouts. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure alignment between model content and installation requirements. Participate in coordination meetings and document action items related to model updates. Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in all modeling tasks. Support continuous improvement of BIM standards, workflows, and best practices. Skills and Qualifications Proficiency in Revit for electrical modeling; experience with Navisworks is a plus. Strong understanding of electrical power distribution, lighting, and commercial construction practices. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and coordination documents. Experience coordinating with mechanical, structural, and low voltage trades in 3D environments. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple models and deadlines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, constructible models. Familiarity with BIM workflows, file management, and model sharing practices. Education and Experience Technical training or coursework in BIM, drafting, electrical design, or related fields preferred. 2+years of experience in
BIM / VDC
modeling for electrical construction preferred. Experience working on large commercial, healthcare, data center, or technology campus projects is a plus. Benefits
