Job Description

We are a leading electrical construction and design contractor supporting complex commercial, institutional, and technology driven projects across Northern California. Our portfolio includes large corporate campuses, hospitals, data centers, mixed use developments, and public infrastructure. Our VDC and detailing teams play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, coordination, and constructibility throughout the design and construction process.

We are seeking a CAD / Revit Detailer who is detail oriented, technically strong, and ready to contribute to high performance project teams.

Position SummaryThe CAD / Revit Detailer is responsible for producing accurate electrical models and drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools. This role supports BIM/VDC workflows by detailing electrical gear, lighting, conduit routing, and system components based on submittal data and project requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in 3D environments, and able to coordinate effectively with other trades.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform Revit detailing of electrical gear, lighting, conduit, and system components based on submittal data and project requirements.

Produce accurate 2D and 3D electrical layouts in accordance with company standards.

Conduct QA/QC reviews of electrical drawings and models to ensure accuracy and constructibility.

Manage and organize model files, views, sheets, and links following established standards.

Coordinate electrical layouts with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and low voltage trades in 3D environments.

Maintain and manage links from various sources including architectural, structural, and MEP models.

Support clash detection efforts and update models based on coordination meeting outcomes.

Track and monitor deliverable dates to ensure timely completion of modeling tasks.

Assist with updating drawings and models based on RFIs, design changes, and field conditions.

Apply BIM best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and project coordination.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure alignment between model content and installation requirements.

Skills and QualificationsProficiency in Revit (2020 or newer) is required.

Experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Excel, and Bluebeam.

Strong understanding of electrical systems including power distribution and lighting.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.

Experience coordinating with other trades in 3D environments.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high quality work.

Excellent organization and file management skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving BIM/VDC technologies and workflows.
