Complete structural calculations, markup structural plans/details and specifications/notes for construction projects that range from moderate to complex with minimal supervision by staff engineers. This includes coordination from commencement to completion with Clients, Architects/Designers, Contractors & other staff to meet project schedules. Other duties shall include site/field observations, printing/plotting and mentoring/assisting staff engineers as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

B.S. in Civil Engineering, Structural Emphasis EIT Certification CA Professional Engineer's license preferred, but not required 5+ years of work experience in custom residential structural design, understanding of AutoCAD, familiarity with IBC (International Building Code) and CBC (California Building Code). Projects mainly consist of wood-framed residential design and some light commercial projects. Qualified candidates should be self-motivated, detail oriented, highly analytical, highly independent and a team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
