Job Description

Signs of Tampa Bay, the largest sign manufacturing company in Pasco County is seeking a Sign Designer. The Sign Designer prepares sign designs from information provided by our sales team, project managers, and clients. That information may come from client supplied ideas, a sign program, or the designer may be requested to provide an original design that aesthetically meets the client's needs. The complexity of the designs varies which requires flexibility in adapting to each individual project. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of the electrical sign industry, manufacturing drawings, graphic design, styles and layout techniques. You should have experience executing sign projects from conception to production, including ADA, Directional, Monument, Pylon and Channel Letter Signs. Ultimately, you will deliver high quality art/drawings on tight deadlines. Responsibilities Oversee design projects, from conception to delivery Design and create all types of sign designs including: channel letters, monument signs, pylon signs, custom fabricated sign programs, ADA and design build projects Refine images, fonts and layouts using graphic design software Generate ideas to portray concepts and advertise products/services Provide updates to various departments through our design and production system Interact with sales staff, project managers, and customers in a professional manner. Maintain an organized, clean and professional work area at all times. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools Skills Proven work experience as a Sign Designer, Graphic Designer or similar role Portfolio of completed design projects Must be knowledgeable in sign construction and digital printing Must be proficient in various software programs including FlexiSIGN, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch-up, and CorelDRAW.
